Branding Identity + E-commerce Website Design

Joe Fleury Photography - Branding + ecommerce Website Design

I have been realizing lately how important it is to work with clients who are a good match for your business as well as theirs. Not only will you be creating something that you feel good about, you know that it will be a viable solution that will help them and the overall success of their business.

One of the projects I did late last year was a branding + e-commerce website design for a friend who is starting his side business selling beautiful limited edition photography prints. It was also a fun project to work on which always helps!

Before I began working on the logo Joe and I met to discuss his overall vision and goals for his photography website. His goals were to have a simple e-commerce site that he could sell and share his unique creative work and could eventually expand to include more offerings like drone inspections, photography seminars and more.

Since Joe’s photography is going to be the main visual attraction for the site, we went with a subtle mood board and simple color palette to help his incredible photos be the hero visuals.

We were working really hard to get the site up by black Friday, so we kept it simple and went with a home, about page, contact and the most important one - shop! It was also important to make sure his site was easy to navigate on a mobile device and fast to load.

Another important element for photographers is ensuring they have a watermark design which will maintain their proprietary imagery online as well as provide information on where to find their work without being too intrusive on the photos themselves.

Looking forward to seeing Joe add more of his incredible photography and expanding his line of service offerings. Check out his site (link below and here) thanks for reading!
